SpiceJet has witnessed an overwhelming response for its Super Sale
Offer, the first SpiceJet sale for the year. The booking volumes
quadrupling (increased by 4X or 400%) on the first day of offer,
indicating continuing pent up demand in the market despite other
airlines having held sales earlier in January.

The sale concluded on 1 Feb and some interesting trends that were
noticed are enclosed below….

•         The Super Sale offer has seen the highest demand for New
Delhi-Srinagar sector, a trend that shows Kashmir Valley recovering
from the impact of the floods last year and once again assuming its
rightful place as a hot spot for holidays.  The travel period under
the sale covers summer vacation, contributing to this demand.
•         Another interesting trend that we observe is,
Vijayawada-Hyderabad sector is the second highest in terms of demand.
Being the new capital for Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is a big hub for
automobile and FMCG, pharma and educational institutions.

•         Pune–Hyderabad is another sector which witnessed huge
demand. Corporates and people traveling to Shirdi Shrine led to the
excessive demand

•         Madurai being a tourist destination and a gate way to south
Tamilnadu, which is the land for temples, led to some encouraging
demands for the Hyderabad-Madurai sector
