Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) is organising a one-day friendly golf tournament titled “Assam Tourism Invitational Golf Meet, 2015” on the 20th February 2015 at the Kaziranga Golf Resort as part of the First ever Assam International Trade & Industrial Fair, 2015.ATDC is one of the Partners of the mega event which will be a unique extravaganza of trade and business, tourism and culture etc. opening up new vistas for the region.

“The tournament will be for approximately 80 Golfers and participation of a few nationally and internationally reputed golfers is on the card,” stated V.S. Bhaskar, Additional Chief Secy, Transport & Tourism, Govt. of Assam as per a press statement issued by FINER. This golf meet is expected to give a boost to the Trade & Industrial Fair which will be participated by over 10 international countries and over 300 exhibitors and more than 25000 daily potential visitors.

“More than 100 distinguished dignitaries from the Country and abroad are expected to be present in the inaugural ceremony of AITIF on the 19th Feb, 2015,” stated R.S. Joshi, Chairman, FINER.

Meanwhile, there will be a technical session on Tourism titled “A Potential Game Changer for Assam” on 23rd of February, 2015 which will be sponsored by Assam Tourism Development Corporation. The Chairman for the session will be V.S Bhaskar, IAS, Additional Chief Secy, Transport & Tourism, Govt. of Assam. The Technical session will not only provide a platform to share, discuss and deliberate on the sector in discussion but it will greatly help to shed light in the unexplored areas of the North East.

 

It is worth mentioning that under the initiative of Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi, to promote entrepreneurship, value-addition and international trade in Assam, the Department of Industries & Commerce, Government of Assam, in association with the Federation of Industry & Commerce of North Eastern Region (FINER) is organizing the 1st ever “Assam International Trade and Industrial Fair-2015” from 19th -25th February, 2015 at  Jorhat, Assam.

 

The event has been planned at Jorhat, the 2nd largest urban centre of Assam and the centre of North East Region, as it is rapidly developing to become one of the major business & commercial hubs of North East India. Jorhat also serves as the base for tourism to famous places such as the Kaziranga National Park and the world’s largest river island Majuli.
ATDC is one of the Partners of the mega event which will be a unique extravaganza of trade and business, tourism and culture etc. opening up new vistas for the region.
