SHARE launched ‘Local Trains’ app their first pan-India android app for local train commuters, covering local trains at the top 11 locations across India, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Amritsar, Katra, Jalandhar, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Pune and Vijaywada. According to the press release, the app shows the user the next local train for the traveller’s home/office.

The release stated that following this initiative, the RailYatri app has the largest network of trains covering all local and national trains. It further added that with the launch of ‘Local Trains’ app, the users can get information about more than 13000 local + long distance trains. CEO, Manish Rathi said, “Despite the fact that between 28 per cent and 35 per cent population in every metro city commutes by local trains, not much attention has been paid towards this mode of transport. Hence, we decided to bridge the gap and make local train commuters’ lives simpler.” He further added, “Today’s train traveller is evolved and doesn’t want to be bothered with too many apps. With local trains too, RailYatri becomes the most comprehensive train app in India.”
