India has decided to grant the e-Tourist visa facility to Swedish nationals . The President Mr Pranab Mukherjee has announced this while addressing a business seminar on India and Sweden co – creating a brighter future at Stockholm this afternoon. Mr . Mukherjee said that this category of visas will greatly facilitate travel for Swedish nationals to India . The President invited the Swedish industry to make full use of the new investment opportunities in India. Mr Mukherjee appealed to the Swedish investors to take advantage of business friendly atmosphere in India. He said that time has come when India and Sweden must reinvent and give new dimension for growing economic, cultural and co-operation in other fields to fulfill the aspirations of people of both sides.

The President also addressed the Round Table discussions with the top business executives of Sweden .AIR correspondent covering the visit reports from Stockholm that, earlier the President visited the Prestigious Karolinska Institute this morning. The Institute awards Noble prize in physiology or Medicine. The President will also pay a visit to Uppsala University one of the oldest educational Institution where a sculpture of Gurudev Rabindra Nath Tagore has been installed who received the Noble prize in 1913 by the Swedish society. The President will leave for Belarus on the second leg of his two nation visit this evening.
