easyJet will operate three new routes from London Luton Airport including Stockholm, with the Swedish Capital becoming a new country for easyJet from the UK. Also joining easyJet’s line up of destinations from the airport is the Greek island of Rhodes and French surf favourite, Biarritz.
On sale now, the routes will be bookable via the app and website with the first flights taking off from March next year.Spread across 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges, the Swedish Capital will be a particular draw for tourists looking to experience its dynamic culture and all that its Baltic sea setting has to offer.
Rhodes is a summer sun favourite whilst Biarritz, the historic Atlantic coastal town on France’s south western coast add to easyJet’s recent expansion of French routes from the airport, having added Nantes and Marseille earlier this year.
The trio of new routes will offer customers even more choice for European holidays next summer covering both beach and city breaks. Across them, the airline is expected to fly 65,000 passengers a year to and from the airport, operating four times a week to Stockholm and twice a week to Rhodes and Biarritz.
The new routes enable easyJet to continue to support the redevelopment of the airport. easyJet is expected to fly over six million passengers from the airport this year, an increase of 500,000 in the last 12 months.
